guru adventures equiknocks Autumn Equiknocks Gathering - 'Sisters of Fire': an evening of magical celebration under a canopy of stars. This event takes place on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to the following day, Sunday 1:00 p.m. You will need a sleeping bag and food, shower and cooking facilities are available. Location is Arbour Vitae, a 45-minute drive from Ottawa, on the Rivière Blanche in St. Pierre de Wakefield.

Cost: $55.00 includes one night accommodation at Arbour Vitae.

Tree Tour of Ottawa - Discover the energy of the trees in your living space.
This half-day trip was created to enable you to easily connect to tree beings and energies in your city. Relax and enjoy the trees in your neck of the woods! Handouts are provided with an opportunity for silent contemplation in the shade of tall oak and maple trees. In this workshop you are encouraged to create your own personal tree tour, full instructions provided.


Cost: $40.00.

guru adventures rock being Rock Being Workshop - Creating balance within by holding balance without is the theme of this gathering. You will collect stones and rocks at Arbour Vitae, or, collect them on the road coming into our cabin. The joy of honouring rock beings is experienced in the particular and seemingly peculiar way that you will balance odd shaped stones one on top of each other. This ‘balancing act’ is powerful third chakra work for your body. Workshop commences at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2010 until 11:00 a.m. Sunday. You will need a sleeping bag and food; shower and cooking facilities are available. Arbour Vitae is a 45-minute drive from Ottawa, on the Rivière Blanche in St. Pierre de Wakefield.

You might be wondering what to bring when a guest at Arbour Vitae?
May we suggest: a Sleeping bag, pillow cover (we supply the pillow), warm slippers, reading material (we are a T.V. free zone), water-proof foot gear and rain proof jacket, flashlight (for late night walks by the river), warm sweater, pajamas. We supply natural soaps, shampoo and hair conditioner, bring a towel if you would like to shower. Depending on your time of visit, summer we suggest a bathing suit and water shoes, winter warm coat, hat, mittens, scarf, high snow boots and ice skates. Regarding food, bring pre-cooked food, pre-made salads and or canned food. The focus on your visit at Arbour Vitae is on your complete relaxation with self and nature. Planning your meals ahead means more time relaxing! Should you have any specific questions regarding "what to bring?" please email or page us directly as we are happy to answer any and all questions in an effort to make your stay at Arbour Vitae memorable.

The following Guru Adventures trips are based on a limited enrolment with a selection process that respects the diversity and uniqueness of all participants. A waiting list will be created for those who would like to participate in future Guru Adventures. All events are alcohol free, please no perfume or scented body products including clothing that has been washed or dried with scented laundry products and/or scented dryer fabric sheets.
